Signal Flow & Routing Lab
The console has signal. The speakers do not. Can you find the problem before the client notices?
This three-hour lab teaches students to trace actual signal paths instead of guessing: inputs, buses, auxes, matrices, digital patching, stage boxes and planted troubleshooting failures.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO
Train for production environments where the system has to work.
LIVE AUDIO
Build PA systems, configure consoles, manage gain, monitors, EQ, dynamics and feedback.
ROUTING
Trace and configure buses, matrices, stage boxes, digital patches, broadcast and stream feeds.
LED + VIDEO
Understand signal paths, processors, canvas mapping, content resolution and common no-signal failures.
LIGHTING
Address DMX fixtures, build control chains, program basic scenes and troubleshoot communication.
NETWORKED AV
Work with IP addressing, switching concepts and Dante routing and troubleshooting.
FIELD RECOVERY
Use a repeatable diagnostic process to isolate and correct failures under production pressure.
Year-Round Rolling Enrollment
The first full professional-program cohort is planned for Spring 2027. After launch, applications remain open year-round and approved students may begin on controlled monthly start dates after admissions, enrollment agreement, tuition/funding clearance, orientation, and any required placement review are complete.

Academic Terms
Terms organize the academic calendar and reporting cycle. Coursework is online-first. Courses with physical competencies use required Monday hands-on labs with limited seating; students choose an available 12:00 PM or 6:00 PM section when offered.
