Students do more than memorize terminology. They learn how equipment behaves, how systems connect, how common failures appear and how professional crews communicate before, during and after an event.
Audio Foundations
Students learn signal flow, gain structure, microphones, equalization, feedback prevention, dynamics and speaker-system fundamentals.
The goal is to connect technical language to equipment behavior so students can trace a complete signal path, identify where a problem begins and apply the correct adjustment safely.
Build the signal correctly before increasing volume
- Trace complete signal paths from source to output.
- Set clean input gain with adequate headroom.
- Compare microphone types and pickup patterns.
- Practice feedback prevention and basic equalization.
- Confirm speaker placement and audience coverage.
Visual Systems
Visual classes cover LED walls, projection, screen sizing, pixel pitch, brightness, resolution, content formatting and video routing.
