Job Description

ADMFA Audio is seeking a skilled and adaptable Travel Audio Engineer to support off-site productions, concerts,
corporate events, and live shows. You will represent ADMFA on the road — planning, deploying, operating, and maintaining
professional audio systems that deliver clean, reliable sound for clients and audiences.

This role requires strong fundamentals (signal flow, gain structure, RF coordination, power), professional on-site demeanor, and
the ability to move quickly through setup, line checks, and show execution.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years in live-sound production, touring, or event audio support.
• Comfortable with digital/analog consoles (e.g., X32, Yamaha, Allen & Heath).
• Strong troubleshooting skills for signal flow, RF, power, and patching.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs+ and perform physical setup/teardown tasks.
• Valid driver’s license + reliable transportation required.

Preferred (Not Required): experience with festival patching, multi-band changeovers, IEM workflows,
Dante/AVB basics, RF scanning/coordination, and document-driven show advancing.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or assist in setup and teardown of audio systems at off-site venues.
• Operate FOH and/or monitors; manage show flow, cues, and changeovers.
• Configure wireless mic systems, stage inputs, I/O routing, and gain structure.
• Perform line checks, ring-out, and audio optimization for consistent coverage.
• Collaborate with lighting/video teams for synchronized production and clean comms.
• Maintain professional client/talent interaction, including quick issue resolution.
• Ensure ADMFA equipment is packed correctly, transported safely, and returned in working order.
• Document issues, repairs, and inventory needs after each event (as assigned).

Work Schedule & Travel Requirements

• Base Location: 6210 S Dairy Ashford Rd, Houston, TX 77072
• Role Type: Contractor / Project-Based
• Travel Scope: Regional and national travel based on bookings and client needs
• Schedule: Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and select holidays
• Load-in/Load-out: Must be available for early call times and late strikes as required
• Physical Requirements: lifting, pushing/pulling cases, standing for long periods, stairs/ramps as venues require
• Reimbursement: Per-diem and travel reimbursement provided for approved trips (details shared per project)

Compensation

Compensation is project-based and aligned to event scope, travel requirements, and experience level.
Selected candidates will receive pay details and expectations per booking prior to confirmation.
